'A Gift Outright' by Robert Frost:-

A Gift Outright by Frost can be considered as a poem of colonial conflict in America between the native Americans & the settlers who from different countries of Europe settled in America.the Poet as a descendent of those settlers writes this poem about conflict between settlers as colonizers & native people as colonized.
The poem opens with the Poet's expression of Love for this country. The poet says that the land of their before they belong to that land, more than 100 years were already passed & in every state of America the settlers considered that land as their own motherland but it was unfortunate that still they were not possessed-who accepted by those native people, still they were recognized as people of England & colonials.the settlers made a study of what was the reason that they were not accepted by native Americans.
Finally they found that the reason was, they lived life in a different way from native Americans. So they decided to surrender the unique way of life so they may get accepted by the native people. Of course they were accepted, they had no struggle a lot that fight many battles & finally they were accepted.their surrender was unconditional whether that country progress or not but they were lived in that country as the people of that county,as the true citizens of that country. This is the gift that the country gets from the settlers & those settlers get this country as a gift.

Thank You.
