"The Character Of A Happy Life"

Henry Wotten wrote the poem from experience, for he was distinguished servant of the crown who had seen for himself the rise & fall of ambitious men.
This present poem shows the idea that according to the poet the character of happy life should have qualities that itself differs him from other.
-He should not act according to other's wishes.
-He should have weapons like Simplicity & Truth.
-Be prepared for death.
-Has no care for become famous & getting name.
-Follow the rules of humanity that leads to the right path.
-Never asks God to be higher but tries to be merciful to others.
-He should be free from slavery.
-Not having ambitious personality.
-Never hope from others that disappoints him.
-No desire of health or wealth that risks for downfall.
By this all qualities the poet tries to mention a man who wants to be happy character & if he tries these to follow or accepts then he will be greatest powerful person having such happiness in life.
In shot the poet describes the characteristics of a noble & happy man who is honest,simple & not the slave of desires.
